Top Things to Do in Nashville in the Fall

Fall officially began on September 22nd, and so did a multitude of fun autumn events in Middle Tennessee! From wine tasting to pumpkin patches, Nashville residents have an abundance of activities to choose from. However, with the beautiful weather and so many things to do, it can be difficult to pinpoint which events are worth your time.

Luckily, the team at Southern Homes Collective put together a list of the best things to do in Nashville this October and beyond. Explore Nashville and the surrounding areas while enjoying the picturesque autumn leaves and crisp weather with these unique activities.

Arrington Vineyards

Arrington Vineyards, also known as Nashville’s “wine country,” is located 25 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee. The stunning property features 16 acres of vineyards, five tasting rooms, gorgeous views, shaded picnic areas, and plenty of free parking. And, Arrington Vineyards produces and bottles twenty-two award-winning wines onsite.

Each day, Arrington Vineyards is open for wine tastings and wine bottle purchases. They also host a variety of events like Food Truck Fridays, Music in the Vines, and other popup events each month. Check the event calendar to plan your day trip to the majestic Arrington Vineyards–you won’t be disappointed!

12 South Jamboree

In the lovely neighborhood of 12 South, discover good music, unique beer, and relaxing weather at the 12 South Jamboree. On October 15th, 22nd, and 29th, the 12 South Jamboree is presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. Each weekend features a different musical theme, including Women Who Rock, Rock & Roll, and Decade Night.

Tickets are $20 and kids ten and under are free. The gates open at 11 am each weekend, and there will be a variety of food trucks and drink options available onsite. Furry friends are welcome too, as long as they are on a leash. Check out a variety of beers from Sierra Nevada, hard kombucha, and non-alcoholic beverages. Enjoy the autumn weather and relax at the 12 South Jamboree!

PumkinFest in Franklin

Explore Franklin, a quaint and charming city just south of Nashville for food and drink, costume contests, children’s activities, costume contests for pets and families, and live entertainment. The event is celebrating its 37th year, and with more than 70,000 people in attendance last year, this year is guaranteed to be a hit!

If you’re coming to PumpkinFest with kids, check-out KidZone, which features children’s activities, games, and arts and crafts. Or, kick back at the whiskey lounge, full of curated food and alcoholic beverages that will satisfy your autumn appetite. As you explore, don’t miss the live entertainment presented by Lipscomb University. Best of all, the event is totally free, so there’s no excuse to miss this exciting experience!
